Okay, so I haven’t had cause to make a bias list in a long time, and there are a lot of fantastic people who I’ve wanted to love on and express my appreciation for, so I decided the one week anniversary of this brand new blog was as good a reason as any! Thank you to all those who’ve followed me over from other blogs, and thank you, too, to the lovely new friends I’ve already made since I started to write Scott! The warm welcome I’ve received has meant so much to me! I’ve had a blast playing around with Scott so far, and I’m really only just getting started, so here’s to lots of wonderful stories to come!
No bias list, no matter how inappropriately early it may be, would be complete without special mention of my Tumblr husband and writing partner, Denisa! Thank you for being my friend, through thick and thin, and thank you for forgiving me when I oh-so-casually, and like 85% jokingly suggested we should try writing Zelda and Scott one day, after which, within a matter of hours, we had saved URLs and basically dropped everything else because 1920s and writer muses. I did a bad thing, but I regret nothing. That’s right, I said it! I hope you know I am so grateful to have you in my life, and that your friendship means the world to me! Writing and plotting with you is such a joy, and so are all our phone calls and movie nights!
*SO I SUCK AT GRAPHICS BUT YOU FEEL THE LOVE & THATS WHAT MATTERS OKAY* so I’ve been on Christine a couple of months now, I finally caved and made the blog after loving this movie for about 9 years now? and despite the fear of knowing that this movie is very disliked and me doubting I would even PORTRAY her well, I decided my love for it and for this portrayal of Christine outweighed that and heck I made her anyway and I DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL. I never imagined I’d get this far on her though, like hitting 100 was something I couldn’t grasp, 200 I FREAKED OUT AND NOW 300?! and for people to actually LIKE my portrayal of her, so just thank you guys so much for sticking around and liking me! especially non-mutuals I do notice you guys and love you a lot <3 okay so onto the bias list! UNDER THE CUT!
this is an independent, private, & selective roleplay blog for jay gatsby. my portrayal follows book canon with a mix of my own headcanons & interpretation of jay’s character. i’m not affiliated with f. scott fitzgerald or leonardo dicaprio in any way, shape, or form; nor am i affiliated with the character of gatsby. everything you see on this blog is purely for entertainment purposes.
even though my gatsby is based on the book, i have a soft spot for leo & his portrayal in the 2013 film, & will be using him as my face claim.
SELECTIVE | PRIVATE
it should be noted that i will primarily roleplay with mutual followers & will reply in a timely fashion. this isn’t my thinking i’m better than anyone. i’m not. it’s meant for me to keep my sanity. i work long hours most of the week ( as well as having something resembling a social life ) , so there will more than likely be times when i’m not here on a daily basis.
NSFW | TRIGGERS
there is a zero-percent chance for smutting on this blog. even though i’m above the legal age, it makes me uncomfortable to write, so i’d prefer to just avoid it all together.
however, there is a definite possibility for triggering content on this blog. i will do my best to tag all of that content with “ ‘trigger’ tw ”. if i should miss something, please let me know ! your comfort while roleplaying is the top priority.
ICONS
all icons you see on this blog were made by me !you’re free to use them, if you wish, but all i ask for is a little credit in return.
the barbara gordon icons for my mun fc, on the other hand, were made by helpersofindie.
WRITING
you do you. i’m not picky when it comes to writing or going with the flow. one-liners to novellas. i have a soft spot for those lengthier threads that allow character development. i use 55x55 icons & sup/small or small text.
SHIPPING
this blog is multiship & multiverse. this means that i’m not going to limit jay to only one ship, & all romantic threads to not interfere with each other. my gatsby is heterosexual, which means i will only ship him with female muses. chemistry is key !
MUN
hey there ! i’m brooke: twenty-three years old, female, est timezone, & jay is my favorite literary character of all time.
with an affinity for the old fashioned & a veteran of the gulf war, jay gatsby’s made his fortune in the sale of marijuana. he holds parties at his lavish home every saturday hoping his lost love, daisy, will show up.
